There are many ways to get involved in Age-Friendly Burnage

Join our board

We are always looking for older residents, representatives of community groups or people who work with older people in Burnage to join our board. We meet every six weeks to discuss proposals that people have submitted and how we can make Burnage more age-friendly.

If you are interested in the board, please contact Devon on d.poyser@southwayhousing.co.uk or 07885 449250.

Develop an age-friendly project

We are always looking for people with ideas and drive to create projects that might make their neighbourhood more age-friendly. We work with people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experiences to help you to design their project. For more details, see our ‘Developing an age-friendly project’ page

If you are interested in the board, please contact Devon on d.poyser@southwayhousing.co.uk or 07885 449250.

Tell us what’s important

If you have experiences of being an older person living in Burnage, we would love to hear your thoughts and what ideas you have for making it more age-friendly. Your views will be documented in the next edition of the Age-friendly Burnage Action Plan, and perhaps we can help you to develop a project based on your experiences and ideas.

If you are interested in the board, please contact Mark on m.hammond@mmu.ac.uk or

Keep informed about Age-friendly Burnage

If you want the latest from us, sign up for our e-mailing list, which we are launching in Autumn 2017. We will keep you informed about the projects that have been funded and any events happening in the area.

(If you are not on email – we are working on some new ideas for sharing information about events in Burnage. Watch this space!)

Send your email address and name to
d.poyser@southwayhousing.co.uk, and you will be added to the list.
